If you've got an itch for a multiplayer FPS in VR then you should definitely give Pavlov VR on Steam a go. It's much faster paced than Onward (the Counter Strike to Onwards ARMA if you will), and is serious amounts of fun. The locomotion is excellent, and I've done several hour plus sessions without any discomfort. You do need a 360 setup, but my two opposing cameras are doing just fine for it. There is a free demo on Steam at the moment, and it goes into early access on the 27th. If you do try it, here are a couple of tips that would have helped me out when I started:.On most guns you can remove a mag by grabbing it and pulling it away from the gun, but a quicker way is to pull down on your right analog stick and click to eject it. This also works for guns you can't physically grab the magazine in order to remove it (like the D Eagle). You'll spawn with a random load out, but you can buy guns and gear CS style.
Push up/ight on your right analog stick and click it to open the menu.Knives can be thrown!.Proximity based voice is enabled, so be aware that this can give you away to nearby enemies. There is a radio you can use for talking to team mates elsewhere on the map by grabbing your left shoulder.I love this game already - as soon as Oculus gets the patch released and I stop turning into the BFG half way through a game it will be even better!.
Great to see it getting some love here, it's my favourite experience by a long way at the moment. When it launches tomorrow on Steam in early access it will have a price tag of $10 - that's a no brainer purchase for me!Also a tip for anyone having problems with their hands being the wrong way around (Vivers can just swap wands obviously). I was getting this and thought it was just me, but saw some posts on the Steam discussion group saying the same.
This is my way of launching the game that avoids it:.Open Steam VR.With Headset on, press the menu button on your left touch controller to open the steam overlay.By default, Steam VR has you selecting options with your left hand. Switch this to the right by pressing the trigger on your right controller.Launch Pavlov VR using your right hand.

They should now be the right way around. It was driving me nuts until I figured out it was just taking the dominant hand over from Steam as well. Doing this results in hands the right way around every time for me.
